The club is always keen to welcome new potential members.

You can simply turn up on any playing day and for a modest fee (£5.00) you can play all day. Guests can make three visits after which they must join the club. Membership in 2026 is £80.00.

We play daily during the season at times determined by when the school is not using the field.

We have a lawn booking system which means that you will get to play with a good variety of members of varying standards, any of whom will be very happy to introduce you to We can also put you in touch with a ‘buddy’ so you can be sure someone will be around when you arrive and to guide you through the game.

The club owns a number of mallets so you do not need to have one of your own. They are free to use.

Membership
To join the club for the first time you will need to complete a Membership Application Form which can be viewed here as a pdf or downloaded here as a Word document.

Returning Members 
If you were a member in 2025, you do not need to complete the form. Instead, please be sure to email Simeon Rudin so he knows you have rejoined, detailing any changes to your address and phone numbers and indicating how you plan to pay. Payment is ideally by BACS to Swanage Croquet Club, sort code 30-98-97, account number 78441162, being sure to add your name as reference, or failing that by cheque or cash delivered to Ian Swanson at 14 Steepway Flats, Peverill Road, Swanage, BH19 2DF.

If you would like to make a contribution to a fund for equipment acquisition and maintenance, this would be very much appreciated, and any donations can be made (anonymously if you wish) to our bank account. If you choose to make a donation, please mark it with the reference “Equipment” (adding, or not, your surname), and use Gift Aid if appropriate.

It is normally possible to join straight away but there is sometimes a Waiting List.
